Liberal Democrat - Graffiti Report to Kingston Council

Submit your Graffiti Report on the online form below...

For background  click here

After a long battle by Liberal Democrat Councillors and MP's, Kingston has adopted an anti graffiti initiative that will allow money to be spent on private property.  However the money (some £60,000) will only be sufficient to cover the months of February and March 2000.  Utility companies, businesses and the police are involved.

If you wish to report graffiti you can do so on line by completing the form below.  This will be forwarded to a Liberal Democrat Councillor in the New and Old Malden area.

In reporting graffiti, it is very important to be specific as to the location.  Please do not use phrases like "every where".  Instead state clearly the address and the location of the specific graffiti at that address.  It is also helpful to give some indication as to the quantity and who owns the property.  Permission must be given by the owners before it can be cleaned.

Only properties in the London Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames can be cleaned under the scheme.

Further please provide a daytime and evening contact telephone number so that if necessary a councillor or a council officer can talk to you.  Finally we need to know your address and if you are the owner of the property to be cleaned.

Fill in the report below and then select the submit button, the computer will then show you a confirmation message that the report has been sent to Kingston Council and a Liberal Democrat Councillor.  If you have any problems with the page not working then email: support@maldenandcoombe.co.uk telling us the type of report you were attempting to submit.

Is there any other information that we should know?

Police statistics for crime have a great deal of importance in deciding police levels.  If the occurrence is reported to the police this helps.  It also helps all those who monitor the occurrence and spread of graffiti.

Please report the graffiti occurrence to the police on my behalf (uncheck the box if you do not wish this to be done).

Graffiti is a crime against the entire community and costs a great deal to clean.  Kingston Council is keen to encourage a community spirit with cleaning graffiti.  If you would be willing to receive information about community action days or on other anti-vandalism initiatives, please check this box.

Your details will be retained solely by the Liberal Democrats, who are sponsoring this page, and Kingston Council who will administer the request.

The Liberal Democrats will not make your name and address available to any other organizations but will treat your details as confidential. We may, however, contact you from time to time with information on the petitions progress and on other aspects of our work and services, and how you can help. If you would prefer not to receive progress information from the Liberal Democrats then please tick this box.

Please submit the report when all is complete, by selecting the "Submit request" button below. It can take a minimum of 4 weeks for RBK to clean graffiti.

Thank you.
