Note: Kingston Council have always prosecuted the small number of dog owners who fail to clear up after their pet.  However the council does need a witness to testify in court if action is taken.  The council can ensure that paths and roads are clean and that penalty signs are displayed.

The contents of dog faeces can cause blindness in small children.

The Liberal Democrats introduced the dog warden post to the borough.
